Day 2

February 2nd was our first formal dinner. I went to the beauty salon that is part of the spa and had my hair done. I wasn't really sure what I wanted so I told her to do whatever she wanted. The back was curls, the front was SCARY!
My Eddie in a tux! woo hoo!
The first formal night they always do the big champagne fountain. This is everyone hanging out at the Piazza...it takes up the 5th, 6th, and 7th floor mid-ship. Everyone was hanging around to watch the champagne be poured. We got free Orange Juice!!!
We also took formal portraits. So this is our first cruise and I got Eddie in a tux, so I'm trying to be extra kind, so I only made him take pictures at one of the photo locations. He was not happy that we took pictures with a white background. I wasn't happy with my hair. He's wasn't happy with his smile. So, the rest of the formal nights we took several different background photos!
I loved how both of our shoes were so shiny!
After dinner I drug Eddie to the "Broadway" review. It was entitled, "Words and Music." They did songs from several musicals. They did a nice medley from Le Miz which was good, cuz I've actually drug Eddie to that play and he kinda recognized some of the music.
It was a lovely evening!

WOW!

I keep trying to post day 2 and it won't let me upload my pics. I'll keep trying!

Brief overview of cruise!

I should have probably given a little more info. on the whole cruise before I started with the Pictures!

When I work with Teddy, she always listens to the KOST. Everyday they gave away a trip to Hawaii. So...after hearing this all day long, I would come home and look at trips to Hawaii! I asked Teddy one day if she'd ever been on a cruise and she said yes! She loves them! I decided a cruise to Hawaii is what the Edster and I would do before we got on with Reality!

I booked a 14 day round trip cruise from San Pedro, Ca to Hawaii!

We were at sea from January 31st - February 5th.
Feb. 5th we docked in Hilo, Hawaii
Feb. 6th we docked in Nawiliwili, Kauai (MY FAVORITE!)
Feb. 7th we docked in Honolulu, Oahu
Feb. 8th we docked in Lahaina, Maui
Feb. 9th - 13th at sea!
Feb 13th 1pm docked at Ensenada, Mexico (didn't leave the ship!)
Feb 14th returned to San Pedro 7am

I loved the entire trip!!! Spent lots of time in the spa! Took some computer classes! Eddie never got seasick and he gets motion sickness quite easy. He took Bonine everyday and at our first dinner a nice lady from Sun Valley gave him a sea band. He was fine!!!

We went to all the formal dinners. (3)
Ate more in the buffet than the dinning room. Eddie loved the hot dog bar and the ice cream bar. Pizza bar wasn't bad either.

Only drug him to 3 shows.

I would do it again in a heartbeat. Eddie says he'll go to Alaska and then that's his last cruise! Bless his heart!

Embarkation Day - January 31st

The photo above is of the Royal Carribean ship that delayed our departure by an hour. We were ready to go, but they were barely doing they're safety drill, so we had to wait an hour for them to set sail before we could!!! Our boat was bigger!!!!
When we boarded the ship, we went to our stateroom and left our carry-ons and then ran around the ship checking things out. This is the view from Deck 14 Lido looking at the Vincent Thomas Bridge.
Waiting to set sail. They were playing Enya: "Sail away, sail away, sail away!" After that they played party music and hawaiian music. They were teaching everyone how to Hula and then they did the Macarena and they ended it up with YMCA. You haven't lived until you see people in their 60's and 70's YMCAing! It was quite amusing!
The sunset in San Pedro!
A nice couple from Colorado took our picture. We're holding our mugs we got for purchasing the UKP drink package. For kids from 2 - 102. All sodas, hot chocolate, mock-tails, and shakes for one price! Otherwise you had to charge your drinks every time you wanted a drink.
Eddie loves taking self portraits. They usually turn out pretty good!
The Port of Los Angeles as we were leaving.
Floating by Ports O' Call! If you want a Saturday or Sunday activity, go to Ports O'Call around 4pm and watch the cruise ships take off. It's pretty fun!
The tropical flowers that were awaiting our arrival. It was my birthday and Eddie made it special!
Chocolate covered Strawberries! De-li-cious!!!!
It was a great birthday!
